WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT FOR CANCER RESEARCH

CAR PUSHING (individual) - GREATEST DISTANCE IN 24 HOURS

Suresh Joachim (2007 Guinness Book Hall of Fame) will attempt to set a new world record at the Terry Fox Run event by pushing a car (Mercedes Benz – Smart Car) around Lake Aquitaine for 24 hours.  His goal is to reach 25 KM in 24 hours.

On Sunday September 17th participants in the Terry Fox Run will be able to partake in the activities planned in four different communities across Mississauga:   Meadowvale, Streetsville, Port Credit, and Mississauga Valley.  Last Years 25th Anniversary Terry Fox Run in Mississauga saw almost 2,000  participants and raised a Total of  $215,000! Darrell Fox has expressed his heart-felt thanks  to all of you who after 25 years of Terry’s passing still  continue to give of  your time and generosity in an effort to end the suffering of cancer patients everywhere. Participants planning on attending the Meadowvale Community Centre Terry Fox event  will be welcomed by plenty of food, a BBQ,  prizes, music, a climbing wall, balloons, face painting and lots of family fun events in addition to a silent auction. The City of Mississauga’s “TRY IT” program will open the Meadowvale fitness facilities, among others,  to the public for  an afternoon of free trial fitness sessions.

In the past, Mr. Joachim performed many various records (24 hours moonwalk, balanced on one foot, stood motionless, Karaoke Singing marathon, carried a brick, played non-stop drumming, performed non-stop musical, longest catwalk, longest dancing marathon, longest bowling marathon, Watching TV 69 hours in Regis & Kelly show, Running 1000 hours, Radio DJ 120 hours, Running up & down the escalator for 7 days, Fastest Treadmill running 100 miles etc.)..  

The most remarkable demonstration of Suresh’s commitment to help suffering children will be the World Peace Marathon.  This incredible journey will begin at 12:00 a.m. on December 25, 2009 in Jerusalem and end at 5:00 p.m. on June 24, 2010 in Mississauga, Canada.  During his voyage, Suresh will travel through 88 major cities, in 54 countries passing a symbolic peace torch to dignitaries in each place.  The journey will end with the peace torch being handed over to the Canadian dignitary and followed by a huge musical celebration.  Once his journey is complete, Suresh will have traveled over 6,000 KM, taking him a total of 181 days.  During this time he hopes to raise minimum One Billion dollars for Charity.   Also Suresh Joachim will submit a petition to the United Nation with million signatures to make June 24 a global cease fire day.
